Youngstown, Ohio -- The Youngstown Phantoms are pleased to announce that they have acquired 2005 born goaltender, Aiden Wright in a trade with the New Hampshire Mountain Kings of the North American Hockey League.

Wright, who hails from Wake Forest, North Carolina, comes to the Phantoms after posting an 11-8-2 record with 2.88 goals against average and a .923 save percentage in 23 NAHL games for the Mountain Kings this season. Prior to his time in New Hampshire, he backstopped the Long Island Gulls 18U team.

"We are extremely excited to add Aiden to the team. He has seen a lot of rubber this year in a particularly good league and his numbers are excellent. We are extremely grateful to the New Hampshire Mountain Kings for supporting Aiden in his continued development in Youngstown. Cam Robichaud was excellent to work with on this and it shows that their program cares about the best interests of their players", said Phantoms Co-GM's, Jason Deskins and Ryan Kosecki.

The 6'1", 179-pound netminder grew up playing for the Carolina Jr Hurricanes youth organization until moving to Detroit to play for the Little Caesars 16U program prior to joining Long Island.

Wright is expected to be in the lineup this weekend as the Phantoms take on Team USA in a home-and-home this weekend, culminating with a matchup on January 27 at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown. Get your tickets to see these future STARS by calling (330)747-PUCK!
